Westminster Alumnus Inducted into Chiles Court of Honor

On Thursday, April 12, 2025, David Crane (Alpha Eta–Westminster ’87) was inducted into the Henry Clay Chiles Province Court of Honor.

Crane is the fourth-generation owner and operator of Crane’s Country Store in Williamsburg, Missouri—a family business established in 1889 and proudly operated in the same location since 1926. Known for its iconic slogan, “Boots, Bullets, Britches and Bologna,” the store has become a regional landmark, offering everything from outdoor gear and clothing to hardware and deli goods. Under David’s leadership, the store has retained its old-fashioned charm while expanding to meet the needs of modern customers.

Adjacent to the store, David also oversees Crane’s Museum, a 4,000-square-foot display of Americana featuring vintage toys, a 1927 Chevrolet Town Car, and a recreated barbershop, reflecting his passion for preserving local and family history.

Beyond his work in retail and preservation, David has demonstrated deep dedication to his alma mater and fraternity. He has served as president, vice president, and treasurer of both the Westminster Alumni Chapter and the Mid-Missouri Alumni Chapter of Kappa Alpha Order. He is also a six-year member of the Crimson & Gold Society, the giving society of the Kappa Alpha Order Educational Foundation, recognizing his sustained commitment to the organization’s values and mission.
