J. Josh Paris, CCM (Certified Club Manager), CCE (Certified Chief Executive) (Delta Alpha–Western Carolina ’99), the General Manager of Old Town Club in Winston-Salem, NC, was elected to the Club Management Association of America (CMAA) Board of Directors at its 2025 World Conference and Club Business Expo, held in Tampa, FL, in February. He was elected for a three-year term.
Paris has served as the General Manager of the Old Town Club since 2016. Prior to that appointment, he served as the Club Manager of Ansley Golf Club in Atlanta, GA, from 2012 to 2016; the Clubhouse Manager at Dunwoody Country Club in Dunwoody, GA, from 2009 to 2012; the Food and Beverage Director at Atlanta Athletic Club in Johns Creek, GA; and the Assistant Clubhouse Manager at Wade Hampton Golf Club in Cashiers, NC, from 2004 to 2005. He began his career in the club industry as an intern at The Honors Course in Chattanooga, TN, in 2001.
Paris is a member of the Cullowhee Alumni Chapter of Kappa Alpha Order and has previously served as Faculty and Alumnus Advisor for the Delta Alpha Chapter. Paris has been inducted into the Smith Province Court of Honor.
He is a graduate of Western Carolina University where he was a founding member of the CMAA Student Chapter in 2001. He currently serves as Vice-Chair of the University’s Hospitality and Tourism Advisory Board and the President of the University’s Catamount Club.
Paris first joined CMAA in 2004 as a Professional member. He has been committed to professional development, earning his CCM designation in 2009, earning admittance to CMAA’s Honor Society in 2021, and earning his CCE designation in 2023.
He has served on multiple national committees including the Advocacy, Career Services, Certification, Corporate Relations, Membership, Strategic Planning & Organizational Culture, and Technology Committees. In 2025, he will chair the Chapter Relations Committee.
Within his local community, Paris has been an active member of the Carolinas and Georgia Chapters. Additionally, he volunteers with H.O.P.E. of Winston-Salem and is a member of Centenary United Methodist and the Winston-Salem Rotary.
As a CMAA Board member, Paris will collaborate with the membership, National Committees and Task Forces, Partners, and the National Headquarters team to advance the profession and foster a thriving club industry by supporting CMAA-educated professionals.
