At the KAOEF Board of Trustees Meeting held April 28, 2023, in Spartanburg, South Carolina, Eric J. Doyal (Epsilon Delta–Texas A&M ’03) was elected to the Order’s Executive Council. Eric will serve a term of three years.
Eric is the Founder and Managing Partner of Briarwood Partners, a Houston-based private investment firm, where he focuses on sourcing, evaluating, executing and managing investments. Prior to founding Briarwood, he spent 14 years as a principal investor at two private equity firms.
Eric is a past Vice President of the Greek Former Student Board at Texas A&M University and past Founder and Chairman of Yes Prep Professionals, an organization focused on raising resources for school choice across Houston. He was previously appointed to the Low-Level Radioactive Waste Disposal Compact Commission by Governor Rick Perry and also served as the National Finance Chairman of Maverick PAC, an organization dedicated to mobilizing the next generation of conservative leaders in business and politics. Most recently, he was on the board of the McFerrin Center for Entrepreneurship at Texas A&M University.
Eric earned his bachelor’s degree from Texas A&M University and his MBA from Rice University.
As an undergraduate, Eric served as Number I of his chapter as well as the Order’s National Undergraduate Chairman. He was also an E. Fleming Mason Memorial Intern and a KAOEF scholarship recipient. Eric also served as Alumnus Advisor and Deputy Province Commander. He is a Forever KA participant, a member of the Loyal Order, and a member of the KAOEF’s Crimson & Gold Society since 2017.
He is a proud husband to his wife, Margaret, and father to his daughter, Lily Anne. The Doyal’s are members of St. John The Divine church in Houston.
