On Wednesday, November 13, 2024, thirty-three men at Georgetown College were inducted into Kappa Alpha Order as members awaiting initiation. The ceremony was held on campus in the Ward Room of the Ensor Learning Resource Center and was well attended by alumni, family, and friends.
Assistant Executive Director for Chapter Services Anthony M. Graziani (Zeta Pi–Florida Gulf Coast ’07) welcomed attendees and gave opening remarks. Mike Shelton (Beta Delta–Georgetown ’84) gave the invocation. David W. “Buzz” BakerBeta (Delta–Georgetown ’79), Douglas G. Ahrens (Beta Delta–Georgetown ’67), and Robert L. Williams (Beta Delta–Georgetown ’64) conducted the Induction Ceremony. Traylor Province Commander Colling B. Taylor (Delta Mu–Eastern Kentucky ’96) installed the chapter officers and presented the chapter with its provisional certificate issued by Executive Director Larry Stanton Wiese.
The group is now the Georgetown Provisional Chapter. Once they have completed their chartering requirements, they will petition the Knight Commander to restore the Beta Delta charter and be an active chapter in good standing.
