L. Charles “Charlie” Banks, Jr. (Delta Epsilon–Newberry ’02) was named to the 2023 Columbia Business Monthly‘s 50 Most Influential Hall of Fame class.
Banks is co-founder and managing director of VentureSouth, an early-stage investment firm with a membership of nearly 600 investors. Based in South Carolina, VentureSouth has invested more than $80 million in over 100 companies.
Banks served the Order as Province Commander for South Carolina from 2013 to 2021, and is a 9-year member of the KAOEF’s Crimson & Gold Society
