Mississippi State Alumnus Named Distinguished Alumni Fellow

Wayne B. Dulaney (Beta Tau–Mississippi State ’93), partner at Gen 4 Farms in Clarksdale, Miss., was recently named 2024 Distinguished Alumni Fellow for Mississippi State University’s College of Agriculture and Life Sciences. Sponsored by the Mississippi State University Alumni Association, the Alumni Fellows Program recognizes alumni who have distinguished themselves in their respective careers.

Dulaney graduated from Mississippi State Universityheadshot of man in suit and tie with a Bachelor of Science in Agricultural Extension Education in 1996) and he has been involved in farm management and agribusiness for more than 15 years. His expertise in sales, production, and agronomy helps farmers across Mississippi, Alabama, Arkansas, and Louisiana address challenges and improve productivity.

Dulaney serves as an area manager for Triangle Chemical Company. Previously, he was the area sales manager and agronomist for Local Seed Company and Revere Seed, as well as the production manager and lead sales agronomist for Dulaney Seed Inc., the family-owned business he helped grow. In his early career, he worked as a salesman and location manager at Helena Chemical Company.

He is the incoming chairman of the Mississippi Soybean Promotion Board, president of Coahoma County Farm Bureau, and served as the 2020 president of the Mississippi Seedsman Association. He also serves on the Mississippi Farm Bureau Rice Advisory Committee and is a member of the Delta Council.

Dulaney shares his passion for the university with his three children, who have all attended MSU. Dulaney and his family reside in Clarksdale, where he continues to help shape the future of agriculture in the Mississippi Delta.
