>The Delta Theta Chapter at Georgia Southern University presented two all-terrain track chairs to veterans during halftime of the November 16 football game versus Troy University. The chapter raised $52,000 for The Independence Fund to purchase, outfit, and transport the track chairs that will help improve the mobility of veterans Kenneth Sheets and Chad Krantz, Jr
“It is a pleasure to work with Kappa Alpha Order to provide all-terrain trackchairs,” said Chief Operating Officer of The Independence Fund, Clark Pennington. “Chapters across the country work all year to help us provide these chairs or very deserving heroes.”
After serving for nearly four years, Krantz suffered a traumatic brain injury which has led to mobility issues including vision loss, vertigo, severe migraines, seizures, weakness, and muscle loss.
“It’s organizations like The Independence Fund that change the outlook on life for Veterans that are struggling to keep hope and keep moving forward,” said Krantz “It is a very hard place to be, and unfortunately some don’t make it out.”
