Duncan Court Inducts Twelve Deserving Brothers in 2025 Ceremony and Dinner

The J. Michael Duncan Province Court of Honor held its inaugural induction ceremony on Saturday, March 1st, 2025, at The Constellation Club in Irving, Texas. More than one hundred and forty brothers and friends gathered to celebrate our beloved Kappa Alpha Order and those distinguished alumni who have given their time, energy, and service to KA.

The following men were recognized and invested with the provincial cross of honor in recognition of their outstanding service to the Order and accomplishments which have brought honor to Kappa Alpha Order.

2025 Inductees

King V. Aiken, Jr. (Kappa–Mercer '83)

headshotAs an undergraduate, King served his chapter as Number I.

After graduating in 1987, he began his career in restaurant franchise operations, working for Chick-fil-A, Krystal, and Schlotzky’s. Today, King is the Director of Franchise Operations for Huddle House Inc., and oversees all aspects of the operation of business development, construction, marketing, implementation, operational execution and financial reporting.

King has almost 30 years of KA alumni leadership and experience. He has served as President of the Thomasville, Georgia Alumni Chapter, Commander of the John L. Hardeman Province, member of the Executive Council, Senior Councilor, and in 2023, he was elected by the 80th Convention to serve as the Order’s 42nd Knight Commander.

Jonathan Peyton Barry (Gamma Upsilon–Texas A&M-Commerce '96)

As an undergraduate, Nate served his chapter as Number IX, Number V, and Number II as well as on the Air Band and Mud Volleyball fundraiser committees.

Currently, Nate is General manager of Statewide Trucking Corp. which provides transportation products in and around the DFW metroplex.

Nate has been vital to the success of the Texas A&M-Commerce Alumni Chapter, helping to plan the annual Alumni Skeet Shoot and the annual Golf Tournament.

Marc Pendleton Chehlaoui (Beta Lambda–Southern Methodist '88)

As an undergraduate, Mark served his chapter as Rush Co-Chairman for 3 years.

Marc is an investment banker with Needham & Co, in San Francisco. He is also a proud SMU parent, with his daughter Grace being part of the cheer squad.

Marc has re-engaged numerous SMU KAs through organizing a large contingent of brothers to attend SMU’s debut in the ACC Football Championship. Marc generated signification engagement which we are now leveraging in KA’s return to SMU and includes a 25-fold increase in Beta Lambda’s participation in the KAOEF’s Annual Day of Giving.

Brian J. Darland (Gamma Omega–Midwestern State '87)

As an undergraduate, Brian served his chapter as Number I.

Brian is a regional sales manager at Global Asset which provides IT solutions for healthcare, education, government, and commercial sectors.

Brian served as Advisor to the Gamma Omega Chapter for a number of years and as a member of the Wichita Falls Alumni Chapter.

Stacey Wayne Davis (Beta Lambda–Southern Methodist '88)

As an undergraduate, Stacey served has chapter as House Manager.

Stacey is founder and principal of DavisRE, an entrepreneurial real estate investment company. He has completing numerous projects that led to neighborhood revitalization in Oak Lawn and East Dallas. Stacey has served on the board of the Lower Greenville Neighborhood Association where he helped transform Lowest Greenville to a safe and dynamic entertainment district.

Stacey has stepped up to serve as alumni advisor designee, working to engage numerous university stakeholders as KA presses forward to return to SMU.

Kenoth Hugh Flournoy (Gamma Upsilon–Texas A&M-Commerce '69)

As an undergraduate, Ken served as a Student Senator and member of the school’s President’s Advisory Council.

Ken had led a long career in the oil and gas industry working at several different companies in various positions from chemist, engineer, to Vice President. He is currently the General Manager at Flournoy & Associates.

Ken has been an active member in the Texas A&M-Commerce Alumni Chapter, and co-chaired the recent 65th Anniversary Reunion. He is also a 2-year member of the KAOEF Crimson & Gold Society.

E. Gibson Kerr (Alpha–Washington & Lee '82)

Gib serves as Managing Director in Cushman & Wakefield’s Kansas City office, leading capital markets/investment sales for the market. Over the course of his career, Gib has brokered numerous landmark properties in Kansas City. His focus on downtown redevelopment earned him recognition as an Urban Hero by the Downtown Council.

A lifelong student of history, Gib has authored multiple books including Un-Cancel Robert E. Lee, An Open Letter to the Trustees of Washington and Lee University.

Frank Augustus McGrew IV (Beta Lambda–Southern Methodist '87)

As an undergraduate, Frank served as IFC president and was recipient of the “M Award” given to a handful of students each year for their deep involvement in student life.

Frank is currently Managing director at JP Morgan Chase in Nashville and over his 35-year career in Investment Banking has been responsible for identifying, structuring and raising more than $5 billion of capital and advising on more than $10 billion in mergers and acquisitions.

Frank sits on various SMU boards and currently chairs SMU’s Cox School of Business Alumni Board.

Jose Gregory Moore (Gamma Tau–Sam Houston State '83)

After graduating from Sam Houston State, Jose entered the coaching and teaching profession, coaching at the high school and college levels as a track coach. With more than 30 years of fitness, health, and coaching experience, Jose is currently the owner of Moore Fitness where he trains multiple athletes and individuals.

Jose has served as an advisor to the Gamma Tau Chapter, as President of the Gamma Tau Alumni Chapter, and a director of the Gamma Tau Housing Corporation.

Lawrence William Patterson (Beta Lambda–Southern Methodist '90)

As an undergraduate, Larry served as Rush Chairman for two years.

Larry is the owner of Glass Doctor Dallas Metroplex. His franchise has been named Glass Doctor Franchise Owner of the Year three times. Larry is very involved in various community service efforts.

For 20 years now, Larry has selfishly hosted, at considerable personal expense, the KA Tailgate on SMU Boulevard, maintaining KA’s heartbeat on the campus, regardless of the Chapter’s status.

Mason L. Wiese (Gamma Omega–Midwestern State ’89)

After 25 years in law enforcement, Mason is retired police officer with distinction.

Mason has been a member of the Wichita Falls Alumni Chapter and is a first-year member of the KAOEF Crimson & Gold Society.

John Tilford Williams III (Gamma Upsilon–Texas A&M-Commerce '87)

As an undergraduate, John served as social chairman, IFC representative, and Number VI.

He commissioned in the U.S. Navy in 1992 and flew as a Naval Flight Officer with the VS-31 “Topcats.” He then performed a tour at Naval Recruiting District in  Denver, Colorado, recruiting for the Navy’s Nuclear Engineering Officers program and the Navy’s Medical Programs.

John retired from active duty in 2002, and remained in the U.S. Naval Reserves until 2022, serving as the Commanding Officer of Naval Reserve’s Naval Security Forces in Souda Bay, Greece, Executive Officer of Commander 3rd Fleet Maritime Air Operations Unit in San Diego, California, and as a J6 staff support to US CENTCOM in Tampa, Florida. He deployed to Iraq in 2006, Qatar in 2010, and Afghanistan in 2013. For the past 20 years, John has served as an engineer with the Department of Defense.

John has been a member of the Acadiana Alumni Association and Texas A&M Commerce Alumni Chapter, helping with rush activities, the annual golf tournament, and alumni contact.
