Number I's Leadership Institute

The Number I's Leadership Institute (NLI) is set to take place at the Caraway Conference Center located in Sophia, North Carolina on January 6-9, 2011.  All Number I's will arrive to the conference center on Thursday, January 6th.  Training will begin Friday morning.

The I's Leadership Institute is an intensive informational and educational retreat set at an upscale Christian conference center.  The facility and premises are alcohol free which provides a learning atmosphere for the intense two and a half day conference.  The focus of the Institute is to educate and empower the No. I's to understand their role and responsibility as the chapter's highest elected officer, recognize the tools and support systems provided, and to understand the standards and policies of operating an active chapter of Kappa Alpha Order.

2009 umber I's Guide to NLI - Read this guide that explains all the details for preparing for this conference.  Make sure you understand deadlines, travel arrangements, KA Laws relating to NLI, submiting your grade information, etc.

NLI Checklist - Registering for NLI is one of the many things to check off your list.  Have you filed Report 10, completed the receipt of the customs, new members completed GreekLifeEdu, created a spring chapter budget, turned in a roster of members, etc.???  Click here to make sure you complete everything before arriving to NLI.

Project Outreach Report - Chapters need to submit their 2010 Project Outreach report containing all community service hours and philanthropy dollars donated no later than December 1.  Chapters that have submitted the National Awards for Chapter Excellence Application do not need to complete this report. 

Operation Crimson Gift Report - also due December 1st!  Did you chapter participated in Kappa Alpha Order's nation-wide blood drive?  Make sure your chapter is recognized!  

Number I's Online Exam - Must be completed prior to arriving to NLI or the Number I will be required to take the exam during the weekend conference.  The exam will be posted online by December 1st.

Request for Absence - If a Number I has prior knowledge that he cannot attend NLI, it is important to understand that the request will not be approved (see 9-113).  However, some circumstances are beyone our control and a request for absence needs to be submitted for approval.
